The mission of the Christian Education Committee is to encourage the teaching of the Bible and growth in Christian Faith.

Along with Sunday School on Sunday mornings, we also have groups for men, women, young adults, mature members (senior adults), and intergenerational groups that meet throughout the week to connect and grow in faith and fellowship.

Need help finding a group that's right for you?

Contact Rev. Emily Frandsen, Associate Pastor for Faith Formation, or feel free to drop into any class at any time.

Sunday School classes at FPC center on a variety of topics, include all age ranges, and are led in a wide array of formats.
Typically, Sunday School meets from 9:45 - 10:45 a.m. (August through May) and 9:00 - 9:45 a.m. (June and July).
Some classes meet in-person, some virtually, and some as a hybrid in-person and online combo.

FPC offers two main men's small groups.

  • All men of the church are invited to join the Men's Prayer Breakfast at UPerk at 7AM on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month. For more details, contact Tommy Danner.
  • The Young Adult Men's Bible Study gathers for lunch at UPerk at 11:30AM every Wednesday. For more information, contact Whit Whitfield.

There are many opportunities for young adults to become involved in the life and ministry of First Presbyterian Church. Young Adults gather for fellowship and social events throughout the year, and team up for mission projects with Habitat for Humanity, Perry County mission partners, and the Community Soup Bowl. Contact Rev. Emily Frandsen or Rev. Andy Spaulding for more information on getting connected.
