Jason has been involved in church music most of his life, beginning as a child attending services and rehearsals with his grandmother, who was herself an organist and choir director. By the time he was in high school, he was playing for services at a nearby church in suburban New Orleans. He pursued music in college, earning a Bachelor of Music degree in piano performance from LSU and a Master of Music degree in organ performance from the Univ. of North Texas.
Jason has served churches in the New Orleans and Dallas areas and most recently as the Associate Director of Music and Organist at Mt. Pleasant Presbyterian Church in Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina.
Jason enjoys performing and has presented recitals for the Dallas Chapter of the American Guild of Organists and the New Orleans Chapter of the Organ Historical Society. He has appeared on the concert series of several churches as well as the L'Organo recital series of the Piccolo Spoleto Festival. When he's not practicing, Jason enjoys attending concerts, going to the gym, and going on walks around town with Trixie, his retired racing greyhound.
