HELP WITH WORSHIP

There are opportunities for you to help with worship services at First Presbyterian Church.

  • LAY READER

    Lay Readers (liturgist) read scripture during the service. You will need to meet the Pastors in the back corner of the Sanctuary (on the Stillman Blvd. side) by 10:50 to check in and go over instructions. You will process in with the Bible and then sit near the front of the Sanctuary. When it is time to read the scripture, you will read from the Lectern. All instructions and passages will be provided in advance so that you can practice.

  • BE AN USHER

    We are always looking to CONNECT and GROW our list of those willing to SERVE as Ushers for FPC!  We are particularly short on Ushers for the early (8:45AM) service. If you can help, please contact Ross Vaughn at rbvaughnmd@comcast.net

  • HELP PREPARE OUR SANCTUARY & CHAPEL FOR SERVICES

    Contact Susan Elmore at (205) 799-9867 or suselmore@msn.com to join her wonderful group of volunteers who make sure the Sanctuary and Chapel are prepared for services each Sunday (checking pencils, prayer cards, & more in the pews).

  • PROVIDE FLOWERS FOR WORSHIP

    Interested in providing the flower arrangement for Sunday morning Worship in the Sanctuary? Contact Lesley Powell at (205) 310-4476 or powell.lesley@gmail.com to learn how you can provide the flowers in the Sanctuary one Sunday in honor or memory of your loved ones.
