First Presbyterian Church's Wednesday Night Ministry Program is a treasured part of our church community. Sponsored by the Family Connections/Strengthening of the Church Committee, Wednesday Night Live has the goal to promote intergenerational relationship-building over meals and through programming. Come participate! Church members and guests alike have the opportunity to strengthen connections and nurture faith through feasting, study, mission and fellowship! We have a great team making plans for meals and programming. Take a night off from cooking and enjoy dinner catered by local restaurant Southern Ale House. Enjoy fellowship with old friends and meet new ones, too! Dinner served from 5:15 PM - 6:00 PM in the Dining Hall. Dinner costs $8 per person with a maximum of $20 per family. Program at 6:00 PM in Chapel Hall A Heart That Knows Your Name: The Expressive Arts in Dementia Care Speaker: Danny Potts In honor of Alzheimer’s Awareness and National Family Caregiver’s Month. Danny Potts will share original poetry, music, and visual art to illustrate the power of the expressive arts to make meaning, fuel faith, and renew relationships in dementia care. Additionally, the role of the arts in bolstering brain health across the lifespan will be briefly discussed.
