CONSTRUCTION UPDATE - We have several construction projects underway around the FPC campus this summer. PLEASE WATCH FOR SIGNS AND SAFETY CONES! Some of our “usual entrances” may be closed off for brief periods. We will make sure that we have signs and entry instructions posted. Please pay attention for everyone’s safety.

ORGAN RECITAL - Mark your calendar for Sunday, June 11th for a short recital by FPC’s organist, Jason Pedeaux. The program will feature standards of the organ repertoire including pieces based on familiar hymn tunes. Plan to sit in the pews near the console for a ringside seat on all the action!

MEN’S PRAYER BREAKFAST - All men are invited to join us for prayer breakfast at 7 a.m. at UPerk this Tuesday, June 6th.

SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASSES -

  • Nursery & ages 2-4 meet on the the Preschool floor
  • K - 5th grades meet in Rooms 209B
  • 6th - 8th grades meet in Rooms 218
  • 9th - 12th grades meet in Rooms 219

Adult Classes are meeting - some in-person, some by Zoom, and some a hybrid mix. Click here to find a class for you. Nursery also available on the preschool hallway for children under age 5 during both Worship Services.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR VBS IN PERRY COUNTY - We need adult and youth volunteers to help us lead a one-day VBS with a church in Marion for our friends in Perry County on Wednesday, June 21st from 8:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. Contact Deacon Robert Smith at (205) 826-0495 to volunteer or with questions!

DONATE SNACKS FOR CARING DAYS - Local Mission Partner Caring Days, who offers adult day care for those with dementia, asks for snack donations including: sugar free pudding cups, sugar free jello cups, sugar free cookies, cheese crackers, peanut butter crackers, Cheez-it crackers, and regular cookies like Oreos or Vanilla wafers. NO NUTS. NO PRETZELS. Please place items in the box labeled “Caring Days” in Warner Hall during June and July. Contact Suzanne Ward with questions.

PRESBYTERIAN WOMEN PANTRY benefiting GoodSamaritan Clinic - For MAY, we need shaving cream and razors (for men & women). For JUNE, we need Claritin or generic allergy meds (small bottles) and  hand lotion. Place items on the cart in Warner Hall or at UPerk. Drop gift cards off in the church office.

DRIVERS NEEDED FOR FEED MY SHEEP to take our neighbors in need to the Community Soup Bowl for lunch on weekdays. Requirements are minimal! For more info, contact Sandy Durham at (205) 292-3209.
