PREVENTING GUN VIOLENCE

FPC co-hosts a community program aimed at dealing with gun violence. NFL running back Brian Robinson Jr. (B-Rob for Bama fans) will be the featured speaker. The event will be on Saturday, May 20th beginning at 4:30 p.m. at the New Heights Community Resource Center (3834 21st Street). Doors open at 4:30 p.m. with music by the Alabama Blues Project. The program runs 5-6 p.m. And enjoy food and fellowship after.

Robinson, a prep standout at Hillcrest-Tuscaloosa and a star University of Alabama running back, joined the Washington Commanders in 2022. Last August, prior to the start of his rookie season, Robinson was shot twice during an armed robbery after leaving a restaurant in D.C. He recovered from his injuries and was able to play the majority of his rookie season.

This program is part of the series, “Where is God When Life Happens,” hosted by FPC and 13 other area churches.
