A native of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Rev. Andy Spaulding comes to Tuscaloosa from Richmond, Virginia, where he attended and graduated from Union Presbyterian Seminary with an M.Div. Prior to Union, Andy served as a Peer Minister at the First Presbyterian Church of Ann Arbor, Michigan, and was a Young Adult Volunteer in Austin, Texas. Escaping the frigid winters of Michigan, Andy graduated from the University of Arkansas with a degree in Political Science. While at Arkansas, Andy became very involved with the Presbyterian campus ministry. Through this involvement, Andy discovered a passion for ministry and faith development. His experiences in campus ministry are the reason he entered ordained ministry. 

An avid Michigan Wolverine, Detroit Lions (and Tigers) fan, Andy knows both that hope springs eternal and the crushing weight of high expectations.
