Preschool

First Presbyterian Preschool is a vital outreach ministry to families in the Tuscaloosa area, serving over 180 children ages 6 weeks through 4 years. Our children are taught by well-trained teachers who implement developmentally appropriate activities in a loving, Christian environment. Many teachers are certified, choosing to teach in the Preschool rather than return to full-time teaching while their children are young. The new church facility offers beautiful, up-to-date classrooms with a futuristic playground designed for motor development and fun.

First Presbyterian has been a leader in childcare in Tuscaloosa for over 25 years. We have grown from a small, part-time program to full-time, full-year care with flexibility. We have kept the intimacy of a small, elite program while reaching out to the growing number of families with two working parents. We are developing a scholarship program to open our doors to even more children in the community.
